About the job
Your primary responsibility will be the total lifecycle management of our products within critical communication systems covering development of concepts, specification of requirements, development and preparation of product launches, maintenance and optimization of our product portfolio up to its obsolescence. Furthermore, you will need to keep up-to-date on the professional radio industry market and customers.
You will be working with colleagues across departments, both through close collaboration with our Internal Sales, R&D, Customer Support and Marketing functions with regard to various product-related tasks. This includes market introduction, defining value propositions of products, solutions etc. You will ensure that the product and marketing efforts support DAMM’s overall strategy and goals, and it is therefore vital that you have solid experience in marketing and commercial processes and strategies.
On an international level, you will be working closely with our partners and customers around the world. This means that technical support during the preliminary sales phase and in relation to customer projects will also be a natural part of your work, especially within our vertical business segments rail and utilities.
You will also assist in trade shows, conferences and customer meetings. In this connection, you will be involved in product launches, presentations and technical descriptions.
Together with our sales department, you will play a key role in the strategic pricing of our products and solutions - a task, which requires good commercial skills and a solid business understanding. These skills will also be valuable in your work with our ERP system and pricing model.
You will be part of a dedicated team that creates complex and secure communication solutions based on internal as well as external products to the market. About our expectations
You have a technical background within Engineering, e.g. Electronics and/or IT Engineering, preferably combined with a commercial degree. Having worked with products within digital communication will be a big advantage. Knowledge about TCP/IP and computer networking would also be a plus.
You have experience in working with complex High-Tech products and solutions. When launching new systems to the market and customers together with our Marketing department, you are also able to approach the task with a commercial mind set.
Ideally, you can offer some RF background combined with rail or utility industry experience as well.
You have the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical partners. You are open and outgoing and are able to navigate in different cultures on all levels, both in terms of language and cultural understanding. In addition, you have a solid business understanding, and a customer-oriented focus.
You are willing to travel 30–50 days a year.
